Information processed
Normal website hosting logs may include technical information such as IP address, browser or device type, requested pages, and timestamps for security, reliability, and performance. The apps and website make network requests to retrieve requested weather, beach, ocean, surf, tide, camera, map, and related information.
Third-party services
Weather, maps, cameras, app-store links, and related features may rely on third-party services. Those services may process ordinary request information under their own privacy policies.
Location
The service is built around user-selected Outer Banks communities. Selecting a beach does not require precise device location. Features that request device location use the applicable platform or browser permission controls.
Advertising & tracking
OBX Beach & Weather does not display third-party advertising in the mobile apps and does not sell personal information. Any future analytics, advertising, or tracking changes will be reflected in this policy and applicable platform disclosures.
Retention & deletion
OBX Beach & Weather does not maintain user accounts or a user-profile database for normal use. Device-local preferences can be removed by clearing website or app data or uninstalling the app. Hosting and security logs, when retained, are kept only as reasonably necessary for reliability and security and are rotated or deleted according to applicable hosting practices.
Children
OBX Beach & Weather is a general-audience weather and beach-information service and is not designed to collect personal information from children.
